New Year’s Eve (Poem)

March 11, 2020March 23, 2020by Ashleigh CondonLeave a Comment on New Year’s Eve (Poem)

I wrote this a few months ago when I was reflecting on what an often harrowing time New Year’s Eve is; at least for me, like waiting for a storm to come.

I hope you like it.

Best wishes,
Ashleigh

Completed my first piece of abstract art! A very cathartic exercise. Also my first time gold-leafing. 💙💛
Poem for today. Wrote a whooole lotta words during lunch, scrapped them, and wrote these few lines instead. Important messages should be put simply, so I've heard.
Came back from an icky appointment at the women's clinic, feeling rubbish - and my lovely man had bought me a load of pampering goodies from Waitrose! He knows me too well. 😂🥰AND he's cooking a lovely dinner for me. (And it's our 2 year anniversary today!!)
Aaaaall day, eeeevery daaaaay, in this undecorated office. Have purchased lounge wear and unnecessary but gorgeous shooz to compensate. Despite the monotony, we are still in love with our new #home.
My bedside lamps came today! Ordered the shades separately - genuine retro fabric from 60s/70s on true vintage/retro bases from 70s. Perfect for my bedroom. Love them.
It's warm enough to be outside washing the car!! 😭Sprrrriiiiing is so nearly here. 🌱🌿🐑🐣
